CALM | Santa Barbara Remodel

LUA was proud to attend last nights event benefiting local non-profit CALM (Child Abuse Listening & Mediation) at the historic Villa De La Guerra. CALM's mission is to prevent, assess and treat child abuse in Santa Barbara County by providing comprehensive, cutting edge programs to children, adults and families in need. The event coincided with Villa De La Guerra's Centennial. One hundred years ago, Francis T. Underhill built a villa for his mother-in-law Francisca De La Guerra. The floor plan was modeled after Casa De La Guerra - Francisca's childhood home. Over the last 100 years, several owners have called the Villa home. In 2004, the Villa was purchased and a thoughtful restoration began. LUA was honored to be a part of the historic renovation project.

Shop Drawings | Montecito Luxury Home Builder

Though sometimes overlooked, many details are portrayed via CAD drawings or free hand sketch. LUA will use such details/sketches to build and provide mock ups for the home owner and design team. On one of our current projects, a large Montecito Estate, a column detail is reviewed.

3rd Annual William Wiersma Memorial Scholarship Golf Tourney

This great event was held on Oct. 4, 2010 at the Montecito Country Club in Santa Barbara. Supporters joined together for a golf tournament but more importantly, to participate in this memorial scholarship. The Wiersma family established this scholarship endowment as a memorial event in honor of their son William Wiersma, graduate of Westmont College. LUA, Inc. was happy to support this years event and is looking forward to next year.

Equestrian Project | Hope Ranch Builder

Local rider Michele Bandinu, a well known dressage rider, samples the recently completed horse arena. The next phase of the project will be the construction of a horse barn.
